Meriwest and Autoland, LLC Partner to Support Local Non-Profit

SAN JOSE, CA – May 11, 2017 – Assistance League of San Jose’s Readers are Leaders Program

Meriwest Credit Union was proud to recently sponsor Assistance League of San Jose with a $3,000 grant through Autoland, LLC - Auto Buying's charitable grant program. The funds will help support ALSJ's Readers are Leaders program.

Meriwest Awarded WISH & IDEA Grant Sponsorships

SAN JOSE, CA – April 3, 2017 – FHLB Approves $130K in Loan Program Grant Funds to CU

The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco approved Meriwest Credit Union’s request for grant funds to be used to help local working families earning less than the median income access to home ownership. Meriwest Credit Union was approved for funds on two grant programs; $100k will be granted for the WISH (Workforce Initiative Subsidy for Homeownership) Program and $30k for the IDEA (Individual Development and Empowerment Account) Program. The granted funds are utilized as downpayment assistance for qualified working families in the communities Meriwest serves.

Meriwest Mortgage Announces Partnership with Housing Trust Silicon Valley

SAN JOSE, CA – March 16, 2017  –  Meriwest Mortgage is excited to announce that they have partnered with the Housing Trust Silicon Valley. This new partnership allows Meriwest Mortgage to help low income, first time home buyers purchase a primary residence in Santa Clara County. This program has income eligibility guidelines based on gross annual household income along with other factors. Meriwest Mortgage will use HTSV’s low-interest second loan to assist with the borrower’s down payment and/or closing costs.

The Annual Competition is designed to motivate and support high school students in grades 9-12 who are planning to continue their academic achievements in college. Meriwest Sponsors FHLB Grant for Habitat for Humanity Project

Provides $35,000 Housing Grant for Low Income First-Time Homebuyers

SAN JOSE, CA – August 31, 2016 – Meriwest Credit Union announced today that they have sponsored a successful Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco Affordable Housing Program grant application on behalf of the Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco uses their profits to support affordable housing projects. Member institutions, such as Meriwest Credit Union, can sponsor Affordable Housing Program applications from community development organizations with residential projects in need of financing.
